    How are the SEBI Grade A marks calculated? How is the merit list determined?

    SEBI Grade A cut-off is based on a lot of different things. It includes how many people took the exam, which category they belong to, previous year cut-offs and trends, difficulty level, average score, etc. In this way, the officials figure out the cut-off of the SEBI Grade A exam.

    How to calculate SEBI Grade A marks?

    Candidates must have access to the answer key to determine the SEBI Grade A cut-off marks. After the examination is over, the SEBI Grade A Answer Key is made accessible for them. However, the following points can be used to estimate a candidate’s score:

    • The Online Screening Test will be the first exam candidates have to appear.
    • The total number of questions for this exam will be 200.
    • Each question carries 1 mark.
    • Negative marking is ¼ for every wrong answer.
    • The second examination that will be held is the online examination.
    • English descriptive section in paper1
    • Paper1 will have a total of 100 questions.
    • Each question carries 1 mark.

    SEBI Grade A exam: how the merit list is determined?

    The SEBI Grade A cut-off marks might vary from year to year due to a variety of factors. So, it is important to remain updated and prepare accordingly.

    • The paper’s Difficulty Level: If the paper is tough, the cut off may be reduced, whereas if it is not, the cut off may be increased.
    • Number of Vacancies: The lower the vacancy, the lower the cut-off, and the higher the vacancy, the higher the cut-off.
    • The number of applicants: If the number of candidates applying for the exam is more, the cutoffs will be higher, and there will be more competition.

    SEBI Grade A exam: cut off and weightage

    For all streams, Phase I of the SEBI Officer Grade A Exam is the same. Hence, the following are mentioned below:

    Phase1- Online Test

    Paper 1 Maximum Marks Duration
    General Awareness 100 60 minutes
    English Language
    Reasoning
    Quantitative Aptitude

    Paper2

    Paper 2 Maximum Marks Duration
    General- Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Commerce Companies Act, And Economics. 100 40

     

    Specialised- Information Technology, Legal Civil and Electrical Engineering Streams and Official Language Stream
    Research- Statistics, Finance, Economics, Commerce and Econometrics

    Phase2- Online Test

    Paper 1 Maximum Marks Cut-Off Weightage
    English Descriptive 100 30% 1/3

     

    Paper 2 Maximum Marks Cut-Off Weightage
    General- Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Commerce Companies Act, And Economics. 100 40%

     

    2/3rd
    Specialised- Information Technology, Legal Civil and Electrical Engineering Streams and Official Language Stream
    Research- Statistics, Finance, Economics, Commerce and Econometrics
    Average Cut-Off 40%

    Phase3- Personal Interview

    Candidates who pass both the sectional and total Phase 2 cut off marks are called to the Personal Interview phase. However, this interview round is conducted in both English and Hindi. Candidates have the option of selecting the language in which they wish to participate in the interview. Marks obtained in Phase II will be given an 85 per cent weightage. On the other hand, marks obtained in the interview will be given a 15 per cent weighting in total.

    SEBI Grade A exam: Final Selection

    The final selection of Assistant Manager (Officer Grade A) is based on marks in Phase 2 and 3. Along with that, the Phase 2 will be given 85% of the weightage while Phase 3 is given 15% of the weightage.
